Ha Long Bay or in a language called Vietnam Vinh Ha Long was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and became one of the popular tourist destinations in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is a museum that is very popular in Hanoi, Vietnam, and focusing on 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam and the country officially recognized in Vietnam. This museum is about 8 km from the city center of Hanoi. Many people think that this museum is the best museum in Vietnam and as a tourist attraction for the city of Hanoi. until recently listed many local and foreign tourists flock to Hanoi to see the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.

The proposal for the construction of the museum itself was formally approved on 14 December 1987 and for construction in progress in 1987-1995. meseum was opened to the public on November 12, 1997. The building was designed by architect meseum exhibition named Ha Duc Linh in Dong Son drum shape, and for the interior architecture was designed by a French architect named Véronique Dollfus.
